The Studio

Be happy for me. The main reason I haven't been blogging lately is that I'm too busy making music. I have been staying home pretty much every weeknight, playing guitar, vocoder, drum machine, and reading Crime and Punishment (almost finished) and the Logic Pro 7 Reference Manual, which is about 500 pages in length. This Sunday I'm penciled in for helping a friend play a small show at a coffeeshop that I've not yet visited. I'll be playing laptop. And maybe guitar. And he told me I should do some freestyling, but that could be horrific, so we'll see. I haven't been passed the mic in awhile.

In other news, I saw Amon Tobin play a show last Friday. He did a iMac/turntables DJ set and had all of Bimbo's bouncin. He just finished writing the score for a new Tom Clancy video game, which some say is a lame thing for an artiste to do, but personally I'd jump on the opportunity if it arose. I had to leave the concert just a little early, because I was overcoming my second sickness that I've experienced in my 2 months in this disease-ridden port town. I do love it here, though.
